About Us

Stranger Friend is a Micro Roastery located in Lake Highlands, Dallas, TX 

Our name "Stranger Friend" comes from two places:

The first is a belief that a good cup of coffee can turn a stranger into a friend. By this we mean that coffee has always been a drink people meet over. Whether you're like us and start your morning with a coffee date, or coffee is the break in your day where you discuss sports, news, or life with your coworkers, coffee is that unsung common denominator. We firmly believe that in a world that so often divides us, a good coffee can bring Us back together as friends. 

The second place is one that our family deals with daily. This is that our family is made up of a coffee enthusiast "Nerd" and a normal person. The coffee nerd of the family was into these "Strange" coffees that had wild tasting notes and felt very foreign and honestly intimidating. Sometimes the rest of the family just wanted something "friendly" that cup of coffee we all know and grew up on. Hence, Stranger Friend was born. The place where you can find the Stranger coffees and the Friend coffees. Hopefully no intimidation. Just good coffee and supporting exceptional producers.
